History

Belfield FM is the student radio station of University College Dublin! The station itself began in 1990, making it Ireland's longest running student radio station. Back then BFM was run as part of the Student Union, but in 2011 they officially disaffiliated themselves with the SU due to budgetary constraints. Nowadays BFM is enjoying running indepently within the UCD Societies Council framework.

Student Media Network

Belfield FM forms part of the UCD Student Media Network! Joined alongside by great societies like; UCDTV, The University Observer, and The College Tribune, who are by all accounts, a nice bunch of people.
